Lindsay Smail, weather forecaster and author of Weather Wonders of Geelong, will give an illustrated presentation of many of the major weather events in the Geelong region since settlement in 1838, at our next meeting on 2 February, 2017 at the Mount Duneed Hall, 40 Mount Duneed Road, Mount Duneed at 7:30pm. The second edition of his book of 128 pages with lavish photos by some of Geelong's top photographers including Peter Redmond and Phil Thomson will be on sale at the meeting. This is a great record of the amazing range of weather events in this part of Australia: severe storms, tornadoes, floods, hail, droughts, bush fires, snow, dust storms and rare atmospheric occurrences. http://geelongweatherservices.com.au/ |
