William, son of Mary Matilda and William Radford, farmed his parents farm at Mount Duneed until after his mother's death in 1888.
He married Emily Violett in 1869. She died in May 1881. Their children were:
Albert Edward — born 1870
Matilda Edith — born 1872, died 1972 at Mount Duneed
Emily Ada — born 1873, died on 4 March 1895 at Lilydale aged 21 from heart disease
William married Caroline Faull in 1889.
William died on 19 April 1890 when he fell from a load of hay which he was unloading at the premises of Richard Lawry and Sons, Ryrie Street Geelong. He was working for Mr McLeod of Waurn Ponds. He was taken to Geelong Hospital on instruction of Dr Carstairs but was found to be dead on arrival. He was aged 50 years. He had lived on eleven acres at Waurn Ponds. It was said that he had fits at times.
The following year Caroline married Frederick Louis Zimmer. Frederick died in September 1935 aged 82. Caroline died on 20 May 1956 aged 89. They are buried together in the Church of England section of the Geelong Eastern Cemetery.
