Charles died on 28 June 1893, aged 65, and was buried at the Geelong Eastern Cemetery. Elizabeth, who died in December 1907 at the age of 83 was buried with him.

Children of Charles Robert and Annie Maria (née Spinks) Wilcox were: Charles James — died 1887; Myra Fredda Elizabeth — born 1898, died 1899 Charles acquired the business of Charles Emeny, at Gellibrand Street, Colac in 1914. His late wife, Annie Wilcox, died in October 1913. Her remains were interred in the Church of England section of the Geelong Eastern Cemetery in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Her remains were brought from Colac by the midday train and the cortège left her brother-in-law's (Mr H de Longville) residence, Latrobe Terrace, Geelong. The casket hearse and three mourning coaches were followed by a number of private vehicles. Charles who died in December 1942, aged 83, is buried with her. Also buried with them are their two children Myra Fredda, Charles James, two stillborn babies and Edward John, son of Charles and Elizabeth (died 1861). |
