The Larcombe family lived at Cromer Park which is now occupied by the fifth generation of Larcombes for over 116 years running a merino sheep farm. It will have 61 hectares of the 455 of land compulsorily acquired to make way for a $115 million Waurn Ponds Train Maintenance and Stabling Facility. This land acquisition will split the north side of the farm with the south much to the chagrin of the family who fought to save their livlihood and ambience. | |
